Children's Corner Measurement Chart
The following chart corresponds to the finished measurements of Children's Corner patterns. These measurements may vary slightly from pattern to pattern. Measure a garment that fits your child that is made of woven, not knit, fabric. The garment should also have set-in sleeves.
For front yoke, measure across garment between sleeves.
For back yoke, measure across garment back between the sleeves about even with first buttonhole placement.
For crotch length measure from high point on shoulder to approximate waist. Then, moving over to center front, continue measuring from approximate waist to crotch.
for shoulder to ankle length, measure from high point on shoulder to bottom of ankle bone.
Please measure and make adjustments before cutting out pattern from your fabric. When you measure patterns, subtract seam allowances first. We are aware that a few of our patterns may vary from these measurements. For example, Jamie runs short for a bubble. Bobbie (out of print) runs long for a bubble. Callie and Madison were designed for a closer fit and therefore may seem smaller. Jeffery and Glenn have a slimmer fit. Elliott is designed for a more relaxed fit. Sandy and Hank & Helen both run large.
Tea length measurements have been omitted for sizes 6-12 months as they are inappropriate for those sizes. Some lengths for larger sizes have been omitted as children vary so much in height.
